THE OTHER SIDE OF OURSELVES
Integrating Wounded Parts
This guide to shadow work by Conni Bielsalski is straightforward and easy to understand. It's a great introduction to Carl Jung's notion of the shadow self as the hidden part of the human psyche. Shadow work can be intensely challenging. Foundational knowledge is critical before moving into serious magical work and this is a good place to start.
Bruja Tropical
One of the best shadow work guides I've come across. A collaborative offering from Isabela Escobar and Gabriela Del Mar, this Shadow Work guide is one of several helpful guides that was previously available on their site, but is still up in archived form here. It is an introductory guide for shining a light on those unknown or hidden parts of ourselves.
Kelly-Ann Maddox
I can't say enough good stuff about Kelly-Ann Maddox generally, but if you are looking for a great tool for shadow work, check out Witch in Darkness: Magick for Tough Times, Bad Days and Moments of Total Catastrophe. It's a no nonsense exploration of how magickal practice can be a literal life-saver. Check out everything she has on offer. Nothing disappoints!
